The building reised on the ruins of a Church dedicated to Saint Angelo. It was consacrated by the bishop Carafa in 1639 and naer it there was the Minimi Convent of Saint Francesco da Paola.
According to the sources there was a rebuilding after a breakdown in 1702, but the structure is dated in 1756.
The Church has only a main nave with lateral chapels and in the first of them on the left side there is a Romanesque baptismal tub that comes from the Church of Saint Caterina d'Alessandria.
The ancient decoration with "stucco" belonged to the pictorial forniture is still intact (Cesare Fracanzano “Nativity”, Santafede “Saint Gioacchino”, Bovino “Scourging”, Carlo Rosa “Wedding of Saint Caterina” and Marco Pino “Saint Michele”).
On the west side of the Church there is the bell tower characterized by five levels and a covering in bulb shape.
