The rebuilding of Baresana Door, was directed in 1621, by Giuseppe Dell'Aquila.
The Door is out of the town wall by now demolished.
It has a parallelepiped shape with rectangular base and the entrance is characterized by a semi-circular arch, framed in a line of Tuscan “paraste”, closed on the top by a frame.
In 1834 on the top of the Door was placed the statue of Madonna Immacolata, Patron of Bitonto. Down the statue there is the big clock lined up with the Bitonto coat of arms.
On the architrave there is a copy of the pictorial panel called “pradella” that representing the Saints Patrons of the town: Saint Antonio Abate, Saint Agostino, Saint Chirico, Saint Francesco Saverio, Saint Biagio, Saint Rocco, Saint Michele, Saint Francesco da Paola, Saint Domenico, Saint Gaetano, Saint Nicola, Saint Vito.
