In the Archaeological Museum holds two permanents exhibitions: “Gli antichi Peucezi a Bitonto” and “Donne e Guerrieri da Ruvo a Bitonto”, in which collects the archaelogical finds dated between the VI century and the III century b. C., discovered in the Necropolis of via Traiana.
Funeral kit in ceramic and metallic finds permit to delineate the economical and social evolution of the peucetica civilization knowing their habits.
In the first hall the archaeological finds are exhibited according to a chronological criterion which reconstructs the civilization evolution and the neighbouring societies influences about the local craft.
There is a charge from finds with geometrical decorations, typical of the peuceti production, to finds with red images on black paint, typical of the Greek civilization.
In the second hall there are gun belts and mortars ttestify the peuceti warrior culture.
In the third hall are collected jewels, necklaces, little weights used for the embroidery frame and the big amphora decorated with paintings representing women bodies with peculiar dresses.
